The main objective of this project is to provide the knowledge about the dynamics of social change in the metropolitan area of Paris in order to determine:
- contemporary patterns of social segregation,
- to provide information on factors that directly or indirectly initiate or reinforce contemporary process of segregation,
- to verify the outcomes of the policy of social mixity and to use the results of this research as a new contribution to the existing concepts explaining the level of segregation in urban areas.
