New book edited by Professor Jerzy Bański
We are pleased to announce that another book edited by Professor Jerzy Bański, an employee of the Institute of Geography and Spatial Organization Polish Academy of Sciences, has just been published. The publication was released by Edward Edgar Publishing.
The book covers a wide range of issues related to the processes of peripheralisation and peripheral areas and is a collection of studies prepared by authors representing various scientific disciplines (economists, geographers, sociologists, urban planners) and regions of the world. A total of 50 authors from several dozen countries have compiled 22 chapters. This approach provides the book with a holistic dimension, documenting the current state of knowledge and comparing analogous studies in different countries. Publication is a unique monograph on the periphery, providing the latest and most objective information on contemporary research on this topic and the dilemmas associated with the development policy of peripheral regions. The cognitive nature of the book stems from the wide range of topics and the diversity of the regions studied. In terms of teaching, it can serve as a guide and source of information for those studying regional development, spatial planning and social geography.
Details about book are available on Edward Edgar Publishing website.
