We're thrilled to announce the official kick-off of the CONIFER project at the Mobilise group of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VU). This initiative brings together experts and stakeholders to envision and develop '15-minute cities'—urban spaces where essential services are accessible within a short walk or bike ride. By promoting sustainable and efficient urban planning, CONIFER aims to enhance the quality of life in our community. IGSO PAS is one of 11 full partners joining in the project from seven European countries.
The recent years have brought challenges to Central Europe. The effects of climate change on urban environments, the raging war in Ukraine, security concerns and the refugee situation on the Eastern borders of the EU are all current issues for our settlements in the V4 countries. We invite you to the workshop if you feel like learning about real best practices of urban resiliency from Central Europe from renowned experts of V4 countries (January 26, 2024, 10 am).
